Motortrend magazine recently tested Lund's 2003 CTS, equipped with some of the available options that Lund Performance Engineering has designed. Some of these include the new strut tower brace seen in photo below, which was engineered, designed and tested at LPE. Manufactured from 6061-T billet aluminum, the heavy duty strut with an eye-catching look helps prevent chassis flex and maintains vehicle stability.


To incease horse power on the CTS, the LPE team added a cold air intake box with a hi-flow air filter and lifetime warranty to the stock 3.2L V-6 engine, delivering an increased 12-14hp. Lund Performance Engineering has a supercharger currently in testing and will go into production later this year. Other LPE performance items added to this CTS are a low-restriction exhaust system which gives also helps deliver the goods and gives the luxury/sport sedan a notably more aggressive sound. For brakes LPE introduced 14-inch cross-drilled and slotted rotors with anodized hats, GTP calipers in front and an Eradispeed +1 system on the rear, reducing stopping distance considerably. The Lund Performance Engineers gave attention to the CTS' handing style with anti-roll bars and stiffer coil springs to reduce ride height by 1.5 inches without sacrificing ride quality, due to the progressive-rate design. Replacing the factory rolling stock with 20"custom wheels and tires made for a truly dynamic look and a custom two-tone cashmere and champagne paint scheme rounds out this CTS, which elicited this comment from AutoWeek Magazine - "We weren’t big fans of two-tone cars, at least not until we saw this stunning Caddy at a recent SEMA Salon."
